About the WHA HOF
Founded in 2009 by the late Tim Gassen and carried on by Curtis Walker, the WHA Hall of Fame honors players, coaches and management for their contributions to the league that did so much for the game and its fans.
The 2009-2019 WHA HOF Advisory Board consisted of the following WHA personnel and historians:

- Jacques Demers - WHA coach
- Howard Baldwin - WHA president, New England Whalers owner
- Anders Hedberg - WHA All-Star
- Pat Stapleton - WHA All-Star, coach, Chicago Cougars co-owner
- Jack Stanfield - WHA player, Houston Aeros VP
- Bob Lamey - WHA broadcaster
- Jeff Marek - Rogers Sportsnet
- Jim Dorey - WHA All-Star
- Brian Costello - The Hockey News senior editor
- Scott Surgent - WHA historian & author
