Executive/Owner - Winnipeg Jets

While studying in Stockholm, Dr. Gerry Wilson recommended that the Jets sign Swedish stars Ulf Nilsson and Anders Hedberg, and once they arrived, combined with Bobby Hull, the new trio became one of the best lines in hockey history. Dr. Wilson was also responsible for bringing other talented Swedes to the Jets who not only helped the Jets become the WHA's dominant team, but revolutionized the game with their fast-skating style. Dr. Wilson was also initially part of the ownership group that stepped forward and rescued the team late in the 1977-1978 season. Dr. Wilson passed away on March 22, 2011.
