Ben Hatskin

Founder/Owner - Winnipeg Jets, Executive - World Hockey Association

Ben Hatskin, together with Dave Simkin, founded the Winnipeg Jets and gave the fledgling World Hockey Association instant credibility when he lured superstar winger Bobby Hull away from the NHL's Chicago Black Hawks. After selling the Jets to a community ownership group in 1974, Hatskin remained involved with the league and served as its CEO until the WHA merged with the NHL in 1979.
