Following three seasons in the Montreal Canadiens' farm system, Peter Sullivan signed with the Winnipeg Jets in the summer of 1975. Known as a fancy stickhandler, Sullivan racked up 125 goals and 295 points over his four seasons in the WHA, giving the Jets a potent second line and occasionally substituting on the Hot Line, featuring Bobby Hull, Ulf Nilsson, and Anders Hedberg.
Sullivan was named the Jets' top rookie in 1975-1976 and he was selected to represent the WHA as the league's top players took on Moscow Dynamo in a three-game series in January 1979.
Sullivan remained with the Jets for two seasons following their entry into the NHL. He last saw action in 1984-1985 in a five-game stint with the Moncton Golden Flames of the AHL. |
