Gary Bromley signed with the Calgary Cowboys in August 1976 and played a backup role to starter Don “Smokey” McLeod in 1976-1977.
After a season in which the Cowboys missed the playoffs, the franchise folded and Bromley signed with the Winnipeg Jets. In 1977-1978, Bromley split time with Joe Daley and together, they backstopped the Jets to their second AVCO Cup championship.
In the summer of 1978, Bromley returned to the NHL when he signed with the Vancouver Canucks. He retired following the 1981-1982 season. |
